The speech competition will be a fresh category that invites participants to stimulate their imaginative minds and boost their confidence in public speaking. Not only it will test your courage to speak in public, but also is a platform to practice one of the most important life skills needed for future purposes.
Participants will deliver their speech for 3-5 (three to five) minutes with the topic determined by the committees. The topic will be given during the technical meeting which will be held on the 5 October. All participants will get the same topic in this round. Participants are not allowed to bring notes while performing in the first round.
We’ll use a drawing system to decide which participant will come out first to perform. Participants will also need to take the draws during our technical meeting, on 5 October 2018. (Only for the first round)
For participants who couldn’t participate the technical meeting, they are only able to take the draw before the first round competition starts, however we can still inform the topic given via Whatsapp / Line.
Participants will also need to take draws in this round. There will be 3 (three) topics provided by the committees and each participant will get the topic based on the draw they’ll take. Participants will need to take the draws of Round 2 by the end of Round 1. Inside the draws, there will be a number of your sequence to perform and also an alphabet to decide which topic you’ll get. The topic you’ll get is only within the 3 topics the committees have determined. However, you’ll only know your topic once you get into the quarantine room. There are 30 minutes time for participants to prepare before entering the performance room.
Participants will be given a topic inside the performing room. There will be ten topics and participants will be given a random topic based on the topics determined by the committees inside the performing room. Drawing method is also required to decide which participant will come out first to perform. Participants will have 3 (three) minutes time to prepare inside the performing room. Participants will only have 3 minutes to perform.
